Vision

The Ebonwood Hotel renovation will exude sophistication and charm, blending timeless elegance with modern flair. The moody ambiance and vibrant jewel tones will ensure that guests feel enveloped in an atmosphere of opulence, mystery, and comfort. The luxurious finishes, combined with thoughtful, atmospheric lighting, will create an unforgettable experience for those seeking a truly immersive, one-of-a-kind hotel stay.

Design Goals:

  • Timeless Elegance: The hotel will evoke a sense of permanence and refinement through classic design elements, high-quality finishes, and attention to detail.

  • Moody Ambiance: Darker, moody tones and atmospheric lighting will be central to the hotel’s character, creating an intimate and luxurious environment.

  • Vibrant Jewel Tones: Deep emerald greens, sapphire blues, ruby reds, and amethyst purples will inject a lively energy into the space, balancing the moody base with rich color and warmth.

  • Textural Variety: The use of luxurious materials such as velvet, leather, marble, and wood will add tactile richness and depth to each room and common space.

Lobby and Common Areas:

  • Luxurious Reception Area: The lobby will feature a large, grand reception desk in deep black marble with gold veins, surrounded by rich velvet upholstery and intricate dark wood details. Behind the desk, an eye-catching artwork or statement mirror with an ornate, antique gold frame will draw attention. Soft, ambient lighting will be key to setting the moody tone, with sconces and chandeliers in deep metal tones or crystal to reflect a timeless yet contemporary elegance.

  • Seating and Lounge Areas: Plush, velvet sofas and armchairs in jewel tones like emerald and ruby will be arranged around low tables made of rich wood or dark marble. Statement pieces such as large, framed paintings or sculptures will be strategically placed to add vibrancy and visual interest. The flooring will be a combination of luxurious patterned rugs and dark wood or polished stone, creating warmth and texture.

  • Moody Lighting: To highlight the rich colors, adjustable lighting will be incorporated. Statement chandeliers in brass or black metal with deep, colorful glass will bring a sense of drama, while warm-toned sconces will create intimate pools of light throughout the space.

Guest Rooms:

  • Color Scheme: Each room will feature a moody base of deep charcoal or navy blue walls, complemented by jewel-toned furnishings—emerald green bed throws, sapphire blue cushions, ruby red accent pillows, and amethyst purple drapes. This rich palette will create an inviting, luxurious ambiance, with the opulence of the jewel tones balanced by the calming moody tones.

  • Opulent Furniture & Finishes: Upholstered headboards in rich velvet, dark wood furniture with gold or brass detailing, and sleek marble countertops will give the rooms a sense of timeless luxury. Accent furniture such as side tables, desks, and lamps will be chosen to match the refined yet moody aesthetic, using materials like polished wood, lacquer, and metallic finishes.

  • Luxurious Bedding & Textiles: The bed will be a focal point, dressed in high-quality linens with velvet or satin touches, complemented by richly patterned throw blankets and pillows in complementary jewel tones. Curtains will be heavy and luxurious, ensuring total privacy and contributing to the dark, intimate mood.

  • Statement Lighting: Pendant lights and large, sophisticated table lamps in rich materials like brass or matte black will add warmth and a contemporary touch. Adjustable lighting will allow guests to change the mood of the room, from soft, dim lighting to a more energized, brighter atmosphere when needed.

Bathrooms:

  • Rich and Elegant Finishes: Bathrooms will feature deep, moody tones like charcoal and slate, accented with marble vanity tops and gold or brass fixtures. Large mirrors with intricate frames will reflect the jewel-toned accents in the space. Velvet-lined storage areas will add a tactile luxury feel.

  • Luxurious Details: Deep, opulent bath mats, plush towels in jewel tones, and elegant glass shower enclosures will bring an extra layer of comfort. Rich lighting will highlight unique design features like vintage-style faucets and sconces, creating a soft, moody glow.

Restaurant & Bar:

  • Dramatic Dining Room: The hotel’s restaurant will embrace the jewel-toned theme, with velvet-upholstered chairs in emerald and ruby, and dark wood tables set against a backdrop of deep, moody walls. Gold or brass fixtures and vintage-inspired chandeliers will complement the ambiance. Textured wall panels in dark wood or leather will provide contrast and warmth to the space.

  • Bar Area: The bar will be a focal point of the space, featuring a dramatic marble or stone bar counter with veining in deep jewel tones. The shelves will be lined with a selection of liquor in decorative bottles, complemented by rich leather bar stools in deep burgundy or navy. Gold details on the bar’s edge and shelving units will echo the hotel’s overall aesthetic of luxury.

  • Vibrant Accents: Walls will be adorned with large-format art pieces in bold jewel tones or abstract patterns, reflecting the energy and vibrancy of the bar area.

Hallways & Corridors:

  • Sophisticated Corridors: The hallways will have dark, moody walls in charcoal or navy, illuminated with soft, ambient lighting and lined with richly framed artworks or mirrors. Floors will be adorned with plush, jewel-toned rugs or carpets that lead guests down the corridors with ease, creating an inviting atmosphere as they approach their rooms.

  • Highlighting Architectural Details: Architectural features such as crown molding, archways, and elegant wall panels will be emphasized with rich, moody colors and textured finishes, giving the hotel a cohesive, refined feel.

Sustainability and Luxury:

  • Sustainable Materials: The renovation will include sustainable design practices, using eco-friendly materials like reclaimed wood, low-energy lighting, and efficient HVAC systems, ensuring that luxury and sustainability go hand in hand.
